This course offers a comprehensive overview of client representation in tax resolution, covering critical areas such as responding to IRS notices, negotiating Installment Agreements, securing Offers in Compromise (OIC), and navigating the full spectrum of collection alternatives.
Participants will learn strategies to help clients resolve serious tax debt and regain financial stability. The course will examine the different types of Installment Agreements, including a deep dive into Partial Pay Installment Agreements and Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status.
We’ll also explore the various types of Offers in Compromise, with a primary focus on the Doubt as to Collectability program. You’ll gain insight into how to calculate a realistic offer amount, what payment options are available, and what the IRS is likely to accept.
Additionally, the course will address how to maintain client compliance throughout these programs and the impact of these resolutions on the statute of limitations for collections.
